18796 Acosta (1999 JH64) is a main belt asteroid discovered on May 10, 1999 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research Team at Socorro.[1] 18796 Acota is named in honor of a student, Iyen Abdon Acosta, for building an award winning science project.
